Parts of Bussiness
Letter
1. Letterhead
Usually put at the top of the sheet. It provides
notable information about the organization’s identity.
2. Date
Date of writing. The month should be whole spelled out
and the year written in four digits. Ex : October 12, 2005
3. Recipient
Address
This is the address you are sending your letter to. Be
sure to make it as complete as possible so it gets to its destination. The
includes the recepient’s name, company
address and usually with postal code. Most of professionals always write the
recipient address on the left margin.
4. Reference
Line
It is optional site that can help the recipient to understand
what the letter is about.
5. Salutation
Also called the greeting. The salutation is normally
formal in a bussiness letter and begins with the word “Dear” followed by the
recipient’s name. As a general rule , the salutation always ends in a colon.
6. Body
It is the primary section of a bussiness letter. We can
explain the purpose of why we are writing here in several paragraph. Be sure to
leave a blank line between each paragraph, however, no matter the format.
7. Closure
This part is polite remark that rounds off a business
letter. She first word of the closure is capitalized but not for the second. A comma
should be attached.
8. Signature
and Title
The signature the last part with the typed name of the sender te be
signed. The second line may be included for a title, if appropiate. It should
be in blue or black ink.
9. Enclosure
This may be attached if we have any enclosed
documents.
